Kano State House of Assembly screened 13 political nominees, whose names were forwarded to the Assembly by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for screening.
Governor Ganduje had forwarded the names of 13 persons to the state House of Assembly for scrutiny for appointment to various offices.
Kano State House of Assembly Speaker, Kabiru Alhasan Rurum, yesterday at the inner chamber of the state legislature presided over the screening of the political nominees.
Among the political nominees who undergo screening was the outgoing national president of the Nigerian Union of Journalist, NUJ, Comrade Muhammad Garba. Others include: former secretary of Kano State All progressives Congress, APC, Ahmed Rabiu Bako, the immediate past Commissioner for Agriculture, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, erstwhile Special Adviser to former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda; and former Executive Secretary of the state scholarship board, Usman Sule Riruwai.
The House also screened former Special Adviser on Protocol to Kwankwaso, Dr. Faruk B. B. Faruk, executive chairman of Kabo Local government, Murtala Sule Garo, one-time Special Adviser, Hon Garba Haruna Lawal and a Bayero university, Kano don, Kabiru Isa Dan Dago.
