Clinton Health Access Initiative donate 100 ambulance tricycles to Katsina State Government

100 ambulances tricycles has been donated to Katsina State government by Clinton Health Access Initiative to boost its health care delivery in the state.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Qabassiyyu disclose this while commissioning the tricycles in Katsina .

He said each political unit in the 10 selected local government councils would be allocated mobile tricycles ambulances.

Qabassiyyu said tricycles were donated to Norwegian government under a tripartite agreement between Nigerian government, Clinton health care and the government of Norway.

According to him the mobile tricycles were fitted with modern facilities saying that each drivers of the ambulances were provided with mobile phones for easy communication.

He emphasized that provision of the mobile tricycle were meant to provide transportation for easy access to health care facilities. Speaking at the ceremony, the country director of Clinton Health Access Initiative in Nigeria Mr. Owen Wiwa said the programme would be built around the bikes.

In his remark, the State Governor Aminu Bello Masari caution the drivers to make good use of the bikes they were provided for.
